Emerging details indicate that the group of rowdy youth that disrupted President Uhuru Kenyatta's meeting in Migori years back is a well choreographed gang.

According to the Daily Nation on Sunday, the youth were part of the Sangwenya gang that operates by terrorizing people in the county and its surroundings.

The September 2014 event saw the President booed, jeered and his speech disrupted, with some of the youth seated among the audience also hurling shoes towards his direction, bringing the function to a halt.

But in a turn of events, it emerges that the gang is directly associated to area Governor Okoth Obado's personal assistant Michael Oyamo who has also been largely mentioned in the killing of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

Also allegedly allied to the group is Caspal Obiero, another of the Governor's aides, whose car was allegedly used in kidnapping Sharon in Rongo three weeks ago, before her lifeless body was recovered in Homabay County two days later.

Both have since been arrested in relation to the killing, alongside Obado's personal bodyguard Elvis Omondi, a policeman who is also being detained over the murder and abduction of Sharon and is also reportedly linked to the gang.

Sangwenya is said to have started as a political team involved in campaigning for area politicians before reportedly adopting its violent nature.
