Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has parted ways with the club, after a year' stint at the helm of the reigning Kenya Premier League champions.
The coach, in a letter, addressed to club chairman Ambrose Rachier, thanked the club and the players for their support for the time that he was as the head coach.
According to the statement, the coach had found a better coaching role in the coming season.
"As per his letter, he is going for greener pastures and I want to wish him all the best,” Gor chairman Ambrose Rachier said in a statement on the club's official website.
There were signs that the coach might not come back after the match between Gor and Everton at the Goodison Park, with reports indicating that he did not report back.
Gor lost 4-0 to Everton, and jetted back in the country last week. His resignation puts Gor in a precarious position, considering they need to prepare for an upcoming CAF fixture in less than two weeks time.
Kerr became a darling of many Gor fans, who felt he took the team to higher levels in the short period he stayed with the club.
He will be greatly missed as he had become a key figure on the touchlines.
