A ceremony in South Sudan's capital in Juba on Wednesday that brought together President Salva Kiir and rebel leader Riek Machar saw the country's nationals carrying placards backing President Uhuru Kenyatta as Kenya's de facto leader.

A close look at the posters shows that the South Sudanese people are of the opinion that Uhuru rules Kenya forever.

"Thank you IGAD Heads of States and governments. We thank H. E Uhuru Kenyatta and may God grant him peace to rule forever," read the posters.

The ceremony saw the two leaders signing a peace deal to restore peace after five years of conflicts in the region.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, through his newly found partner Raila Odinga, has been pushing for peace deal in Africa's newest nation.

In an interview with CNN's Richard Quest last week, Uhuru dismissed calls to run for the third time, insisting that he's not interested.

"No, I am not interested. I will not run for another term. I don't think constitutional changes are about making me stay in power," he said.
