Raila Amollo Odinga has been having a steamy affair with seasoned politicians from North eastern Kenya.

Apparently, he in the past enjoyed a cordial political relationship with the Garissa MP Aden Duale and the former national assembly speaker Farah Maalim who are the region's finest politicians.

And as times change, politics also follow the same course.

Raila's following in the region was at its peak prior to the 2007 general elections that later led to tragic political upheavals across the country.

By then, Aden Duale was a darling to the CORD premier and the former even financed the latter's campaigns.

Duale was then an entrant politician vying for the legislative seat for Dujis constituency which he eventually won on an ODM ticket.

For Farah Maalim, he has stood with Raila through all the trying political moments until early 2018 when the opposition leader planned a ceremony to swear himself as the people's president.

Maalim together with members of his Wiper party snubbed the ceremony and their fall out started.

What followed is the branding of Wiper politicians as cowards and this is why even after the handshake deal, none of Wiper members has landed a government job.

And even as the race to 2022 nears, none of the region's politicians has shown any signs of backing the former opposition leader Raila Odinga.
