Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire on Sunday revisited historical handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga at Manga Catholic Church.

While addressing faithfuls, Bosire appealed to a section of Kenyans opposed to the historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga to embrace it for the sake of peace and unity. 

The ODM Party Treasurer Timothy Bosire has asked Kenyans to embrace handshake for prosperity and unity.

Bosire lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga for accepting to shake hands for the sake of peace.

"The government was using force to harass opposition leaders but following the handshake things streamlined and the government later admitted for mistreatment leaders allied to opposition," said Bosire.

The ex-MP argued that there is no need for Kenyans to remember the bungled 2017 polls.

"In 2017 presidential polls was nullified because the entire electoral process not free but we should not look back after Uhuru and Raila who were competing agreed to work together," he said. 

According to the vocal politician, the historic handshake in March 2018 brought about relative calm thus steering the country forward.
