Award-winning artist Willy Paul has made it clear that he is an artist and his work is to inform and entertain through singing.
He made this revelation following numerous accusations that his songs cannot be categorized as gospel songs.
Ringtone, who is a Gospel musician, is the lead person in levelling such accusations against Willy Paul. He has accused Willy Paul of being a secular artist on numerous occasions.
The latest accusation being in relation to Willy Paul’s trending song ‘Hallelujah’ featuring Nandy from Tanzania.
According to Ringtone, Willy should not have released his latest song songs as shows disrespect to God. He even accuses Willy Paul to be a devil worshiper and says that he is going to sue him.
Inspecta Mwala came to his support on IG while responding to Ringtone claims that Willy Paul is not a gospel artist, saying that Willy Paul has never publicly declared himself a gospel artist.
Willy Paul, who broke to stardom as a gospel artist, appears to deviate away from gospel industry releasing songs which cannot be classified as gospel.
Well, the singer has made it clear that songs like ‘Hallelujah’ are not gospel songs emphasizing that his work is to sing and entertain.
Regardless of the attacks, Willy Paul is conquering airwaves with his hit songs like ‘Hallelujah, Mmmh, and Njiwa,” proving that he is indeed an entertainer.
