The duo agreed to bury the hatchet for the sake of delivering the promises they made to the people when they were seeking election in 2017.

Dagane has been accusing Governor Korane of locking him out of key decisions despite having worked together to win the seat during the 2017 general elections.

The differences between the two had affected their performance before they decided to reunite for the sake of the taxpayers’ interests.

Dagane had earlier taken to Facebook where hit out at the county boss, accusing him of micromanaging the affairs of the county.

He claimed that Korane had become a man who doesn’t listen to his juniors as he always dictates the terms, adding that he is not ready to be taken for a ride.

"As a principal assistant and the most senior county official from the Samawadal community, I will not bargain with anybody for the rights of my people and the programmes that they are entitled to," said Dagane.

The deputy governor on Friday welcomed Korane to a prayer meeting conducted in Hulugho.

The two had also earlier in the week presided over another meeting in Garissa town.

Speaking in Garissa town, Dagane said that their unity was important for the sake of economic growth.
