Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya where the report was unveiled to the public, the outspoken governing Jubilee party legislator said that the positions of the governor and deputy governor should be shared among the male and female genders.

She also urged that should the head of state be a man then the deputy president should be a woman.

"If a Governor is a man, the DG has to be female & vice versa. I take this challenge further to the National Govt. where if the President is a man, the Deputy President is female & vice versa, " the Murang'a woman representative said.

Her position is consistent with the position of a section of women leaders who have called for greater recognition of women in the top echelons of leadership in the country.

Women make up about half of the population and it is on that basis that women leaders want to be included in leadership.

The BBI, if embraced, is expected to change the country's governance structure.

Kenyans will have the opportunity to read it as copies will be availed to members of the public.
