The two leaders exchanged smiles as they attended the event.

There are reports that the duo will be meeting next week.

This comes barely a week since Mutua said he is ready to have a handshake with Kalonzo.

“We want unity, I am actually waiting for a handshake with Kalonzo Musyoka. We will never always agree but our people come first, I have always been ready,” Mutua said during an exclusive interview with KTN.

The second-time governor said he has no problem with Kalonzo.

“I don’t have a problem with Kalonzo Musyoka, I don’t have a problem with Wiper Party, I think they have a problem with," Mutua said.

Mutua had also lauded Kalonzo’s move to work with the Jubilee government for the sake of unity.

Kalonzo had said he decided to back the ruling party after consultations.

"After consultations with our greater membership and party structures, we commit to working with the President in his fight against corruption as well as his broad agenda of transforming this country,'' Kalonzo said in a statement.

The two leaders have not been seeing eye-to-eye since Mutua ditched Wiper.
