In April after winning Supreme Court case filed by gubernatorial loser Walter Nyambati, Governor Nyagarama has changed his style of operation, catching many of his allies unaware.

Now focused to leave a good legacy, the ODM county boss red a riot act. He started with payroll staff, which had been accused of irregularly sneaking people without the due process of the law.

With all the officers sent into s compulsory leave, Nyagarama, acting without knowledge of his advisors, appointed a committee to clean up the payroll.

At least 1000 people were caught in a fix, with the report suggesting that they had been recruited irregularly. All of them are yet to receive salaries.

"I am not moving back. Those who may have been omitted by mistake, will be compensated. Those who didn't get salaries should now explain to us how they were recruited," he said in a statement last week.

Among those affected are his close associates, some of them who have been accompanying him to functions until lately. Their efforts to seek audience with him have reportedly failed.
