The Maendeleo Chap Chap governor alleged that his political nemeses from his former Wiper Party and some in Jubilee government are feeling threatened by his plan to contest for the presidency in 2022.

Speaking in an interview on Radio citizen on Friday, Mutua said there is a scheme to lock him out of the 2022 presidential election.

Mutua said he has information about powerful people who are doing everything to frustrate and make him a political loser.

“There is a wider scheme to frustrate my ambition but I will not succumb to it,” Mutua said.

The governor alleged that his election nullification by the Court of Appeal was the work of some political forces.

“Some people are feeling threatened by my development agenda and want to tarnish my 2022 presidential ambition,” Mutua added.

Mutua asked his supporters not to worry maintaining that his 2022 presidential bid is unstoppable.

“I made a decision to contest for 2022 and I will not change that despite the schemes being plotted against me,” he said.

Mutua exuded confidence that the Supreme Court will reinstate him as governor as he plans for his 2022 presidential bid.

The vocal governor maintained that he is the right candidate to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
