Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has planned a series of meetings in the United States to market the famous March 9 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The Jubilee MP through his Moses Kuria foundation will make public presentations and talks at the Boston, Massachusetts University starting September 1.
Kuria says that the public talks will also focus on the Jubilee government's Big Four development agenda.
Speaking to journalists in Kiambu Town on Saturday, Kuria also revealed that he will be using the trip to the US to market coffee farming.
He said that the US is one of the heavy consumers of coffee, adding that he will seek to strengthen the market.
"I have been invited the US to make a series of presentations on several issues and I will be using the opportunity to market our country especially on coffee products," the MP said.
Kuria said that his trip will bring forth good things.
The MP said that Kenya and the US have maintained good relations that have resulted in major partnerships.
The MP's trip to the US will come days after President Uhuru Kenyatta's meeting with President Donald Trump.
President Kenyatta jetted to the US on Friday and is expected to hold talks with President Donald Trump on Monday.
The talks will focus more on trade, the war on corruption, terrorism and bilateral relations between Kenya and the US.
