Nominated Member of Parliament Godfrey Osotsi now says that Deputy President William Ruto only has himself to blame should his 2022 presidential bid flop.
Speaking on Radio Jambo on Tuesday evening, the lawmaker noted that Ruto's presidential chances are slimming as a result of his quarters' uncountable rants and attacks on other leaders.
He added that the same has earned the DP a good number of political enemies in return, faulting him for his regular jibes at opposition leader Raila Odinga and other leaders he deems opposed to his policies.
"Ruto ni adui yake mwenyewe maana ametengeneza maadui wengi. Amefanya uadui na kila mtu akitusi viongozi wengine kama Raila (he is his own enemy and has made too many enemies by insulting fellow leaders like Raila)," he said.
Osotsi also took issue with claims currently emanating from Ruto's side, implicating forces surrounding President Uhuru Kenyatta in an alleged plot to paralyse his bid.
Ruto's allies have also since linked the group to Uhuru's recent lifestyle audit proposal, terming it a technique aimed at raising suspicions on the DP's integrity to further spoil his 2022 presidency.
The opposition's Amani National Congress (ANC) nominee advised the DP to stop blaming other people for his own mistakes.
"Awache kusema anapigwa maana anajipiga mwenyewe na awache kulalamikia watu wengine (let him stop the blame game and realise that he is the problem)," he added.
