Since September 27th, the ODM governor has been a guest of the state, operating in Gigiri police station and Industrial Area prison.

Even Justice Jessie Lessit listened to his bail application, Mr. Obado was seen sharing light moments with supporters, legal team and family members.

At some moment, he'd be heard laughing and cracking jokes with lawyers Nicholas Ombija and Cliff Ombeta.

Hours later, he seemed unmoved when he was given 12 more days in prison as the judge retreated to study bail application and objection from the prosecution.

Mr. Obado along with aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero were charged with two counts of murder, and have since pleaded not guilty.

They are accused of plotting and executing the murder of Sharon Otieno and the unborn baby. Mr. Oyamo was the first to be arrested in early September.

The county boss has admitted that Sharon's unborn baby was his but denied having motive to kill her. He will be in custody during Sharon's burial on October 18th.
