Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development director  Julius Jwan accompanied by Rift Valley regional commissioner Mongo Chimwaga oversaw the opening of the exam container located at the Nakuru county commissioner’s office.

The two government officers said that there was no cause for alarm as necessary security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth running of the exams for the three days.

Chimwaga said that in one school in Kajiado county a watchman was caught having suspected papers on Monday night and was picked up by police for questioning.

He said that the head teacher reported the incident to police immediately.

He said that all centres have adequate security.
