The region boasts of smart lawyers who have successfully battled many cases in the corridors of justice.

Here are Kamba top five lawyers who continue to win the hearts of Kamba and Kenyans at large.

1. Kalonzo Musyoka

He studied Bachelors of Law at the University of Nairobi (UON).

The Wiper Party leader graduated in 1977 and proceeded for Postgraduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law.

Kalonzo graduated at KSL in 1979.

The former Vice President practiced law for only one year after graduating opting to join active politics.

Kalonzo on Wednesday, shocked many when he appeared in a case where Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu is facing corruption charges.

He stood and made submissions before the magistrate.

The Wiper leader is said to be smart especially on matters of International Law, Diplomacy and Relations.

2. Daniel Kitonga Maanzo

He is the Makueni MP and has been representing top politicians in court.

He was among lawyers who represented the NASA coalition in the 2017 presidential petition that saw the Supreme Court judges nullify President Uhuru Kenyatta’s August 8, 2017 election.

Maanzo studied law at the University of Nairobi (UON).

He did his postgraduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law and admitted to the bar as an advocate of the High court.

Maanzo is the founder of the Maanzo & Co Advocates.

3. Kethi Kilonzo 

She is the daughter to the former Makueni Senator, late Mutula Kilonzo Senior.

Kethi shot to the limelight during the 2013 presidential election petition filed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Her eloquence and confidence in the case who her win admiration.

Kethi studied law at the University of Nairobi (UON) and graduated in 2000.

In 2001, she enrolled for a post-graduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of law and graduated in 2002.

She also holds a Masters in Law from the University of Nairobi.

Kethi is among youthful lawyers in the country and an associate of the Kilonzo Advocates, a law firm that was started by his late father.

4. Mutula Kilonzo Junior

He is the current Makueni senator.

Kilonzo Junior succeeded his late father, Mutula Kilonzo in 2013.

He studied at the Nagpur University in India.

Kilonzo Junior also studied for his post-graduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law and is an advocate of the High court.

He is a member of the Kilonzo and Company Advocates, a law firm started by his late father.

5. Kioko Kilukumi

He is a veteran Kamba lawyer and has represented top government officials in various criminal and commercial cases.

Kilukumi is known in the corridors of justice and was once nominated for the position of the Director of Public Prosecutions but his name was rejected.

He represented Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu in a petition that was challenging her election in the 2017 general election.
