The DP has been finding himself at the centre of almost each and every corruption scandal in the country, the latest one being the Sh21 billion Arror and Kimwarer Dams saga.

But in an interview Monday, Sifuna said that Ruto had been placing himself on the spot courtesy of his reckless comments and attempts to implicate others.

He denied claims that the opposition has been using the same to fight Ruto, observing that its Ruto and his allies who has been attracting too much attention to themselves.

"When one always involves himself in such issues then what prevents Kenyans from linking him to them? How comes he is always the first one to defend such scandals?" he posed.

Sifuna was speaking on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha on Monday morning.

He gave an example with Ruto's comments in the first National Youth Service (NYS) scandal and his recent attempts to justify the loss of Sh7 billion in the dam scandals.

"He was the first one to say no money had been lost in the first Sh900 million NYS saga before again telling then Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru to carry her own cross.

"Now he is again contradicting investigative agencies and saying that only Ksh7 billion has been lost in the dam projects while the institutions have placed it at 21 billion," he added.

The former Nairobi senatorial hopeful urged the DP to stop interfering in the latest alleged scandal and let the matter be held by investigative institutions.

The matter had since been taken by opposition leader Raila Odinga who on Friday asked the DP to take responsibility if he was involved and stop trying to confuse Kenyans.
