Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja is rooting for national unity amid the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) storm.
Speaking in an interview at Citizen TV on Wednesday, Sakaja said that what is being valued most in the current generation is the act of embracing an initiative that will bring people together.
He appealed to all Kenyans to stand up and ensure that there is peace in the country for the sake of economic development. He noted that without unity the country has no chance of achieving its objective in different sectors of the economy.
“We have more that unites us as a country than what divides us… and that’s why the most important thing for us as a generation, especially of young people, is to embrace an initiative that will bring us together…” Sakaja
The senator also said that it is time for leaders from both Jubilee and opposition worked together for the sake of the achievement of the Big Four Agenda.
He argued that there is a lot in store for Kenyans but they can only benefit from the same if we speak in one voice.
The legislator also appealed to Kenyans to back the BBI report. He dismissed claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Amolo Odinga want to use the report to plan for 2022.
