Popular Kikuyu gospel musician Betty Bayo has revealed that she is seeing someone and that she is set to wed.
The musician has been single since 2015 when her marriage with controversial Pastor Victor Kanyari broke up.
Bayo's fall out with Kanyari came after KTN’s Jicho Pevu did an expose on him, where it emerged the controversial 'man of God' was running a false ministry where he was scamming his church members.
The popular musician now says she is in a new relationship and hinted the wedding could happen any time in 2020.
Bayo, however, didn't give much details about her husband-to-be or for how long they've been seeing each other.
"When we get to that bridge we will cross it. Can you allow me to date in peace? I am not doing badly. I have not spoken about it, so wait until I speak about it on my social media. I will do a public wedding so you'll know," she said in an interview with the Star.
The '11th Hour' hit maker said she broke up with her estranged husband after she realised he was not the kind of a person she had hoped to marry.
"The mistake I made was to get into a marriage without really knowing my partner. I didn't take my time to research on the background. I didn't consider things like character, personality. We differed in a lot of things. Every topic was an argument," she said.
However, Bayo admitted they still communicate with Kanyari, who she confirmed does support her two children.
"I decided to walk away and in the beginning, I didn't want any support because it was not about the money," she said.
If Bayo gets married next year, she will follow in the steps of another popular Kikuyu gospel musician Jane Muthoni, who wed recently after divorcing her ex-husband a couple of years ago.
