For at least 2 hours, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa remained stranded outside Raila Odinga's Kilifi home before walking away.
A source close to Governor Hassan Joho revealed that the Wednesday night incident was precipitated by Jumwa's continued association with Deputy President William Ruto.
"She was at the gate requesting guards to allow her in but her efforts did not bore fruits.
"After hours of waiting, she decided to walk away. It seems she wanted to discuss with Raila some other issues," said the aide who declined to be named.
Instead, he added, Raila remained committed with Governor Joho, who was accompanied by his deputy William Kingi.
The former PM was strategizing with Joho on how to reclaim the Coastal region which has seen a number of ODM MPs switching allegiance to Ruto.
"He was in a foul mood and I think that is why he didn't allow her in."
The DP has had high profile visits in the coast and Jumwa has been leading the delegation.
"We will not be intimidated. We shall support Ruto in 2022," she was quoted sometimes back.
In June , Minority Whip Junet Mohammed wrote to National Assembly Speaker on possible removal of Jumwa from PSC.
