Teachers supervising KCPE exams and candidates have been warned against engaging in exam irregularities.
Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru said police will not hesitate apprehending the exam offenders.
"The KCPE exams must be transparent. Teachers supervising the exams are urged to maintain high level of integrity while guarding the exams. Anyone who will be caught cheating in the exams will be dealt with accordingly," he said.
The county security boss assured that enough police officers have been deployed to guard the exam.
He urged the candidates to do the exams independently since they are being tested on what they have been studying for the last 8 years.
"Candidates should know what they are being tested on is the same things they have been studying. Any candidate caught engaging in exam irregularities will be arrested and be arraigned in court," said Nakoru.
Nakoru warned candidates also against carrying mobile phones to exam rooms which may lead to their cancellation from doing the exams.
According to Nakoru, candidates from Nyamira County will be among the top performers in this year's KCPE exams.
