Deputy President William Ruto has congratulated Ugenya and Embakasi South MP-elects.
David Ochieng of Movement for Democratic Growth won the Ugenya by-election while Julius Mawathe of Wiper won the Embakasi South parliamentary seat.
The two candidates were facing stiff competition from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) aspirants.
Ruto, whose name was used to discredit certain aspirants during the by-elections, was quick to send congratulatory messages on Saturday morning.
"Congratulations Ochieng (Ugenya) and Mawathe (Embakasi) for your God-given Victory. Jameni wacheni Mungu aitwe Mungu," the DP said.
In a clear indication that the two victories will have an implication on Kenya's landscape going forward, the DP said the win for Ochieng and Mawathe was a message to political dynasties.
"The hustler nation has spoken, the people have decided. Glory to the Almighty God," he added.
Ruto has been fashioning himself as the candidate for the 'hustler nation' ahead of the 2022 presidential elections.
