Ruto said he has a right to make his own choices.

"I have not appointed anyone to speak on my behalf. I am not opposed to the referendum. Those forcing me to oppose the referendum are out to achieve a hidden agenda," he said.

Mr. Ruto urged on Kenyans not to oppose the referendum but, warned against creating more posts in government for some individuals.

"The huge wage bill facing poor Kenyans should be lowered by the referendum. For this therefore, creation of more posts in government in favor of some few people is unacceptable and I am requesting Kenyans not to accept any additional posts in government," stated Ruto.

The DP urged NASA and Jubilee leaders to shun party politics and focus on serving the electorates to boost livelihoods.

"Politics based on political parties will hinder development. Elected leaders should concentrate on service delivery to the people," he added.

He was speaking on Thursday at St. Andrew Kaggwa Catholic Church during a fund drive towards the development of the church at Suneka in Bonchari Sub County.
