Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi may, after all, form a political alliance with former South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya.
Maangi on Saturday hosted Nyamweya at his home.
The Kisii Deputy Governor said he will work with Nyamweya to develop Kisii County.
"The future of our county and the country depends on the relationships we create today. Working with Nyamweya in 2022 may not be difficult due to his influence in the county politics," he stated.
He described Nyamweya as a performer during his time as MP arguing that he left a development legacy in South Mugirango.
"It will not be a crime me working with him when the time comes," noted Maangi.
Maangi is expected to vie for the Kisii gubernatorial seat in 2022 once his boss and current Governor James Ongwae complete his second and final term in 2022.
According to Maangi, leaders should shun hatred and agree to work together for the sake of achieving desired development.
"Local leaders should not hate each other because of politics. We need to embrace peace and unity for the sake of realising development in the beloved county of Kisii," said Maangi.
