This comes as several politicians from across the nation keep joining the DP's camp.

Some of the politicians have been accompanying the DP in his weekly political engagements and endorsing his 2022 presidential bid.

However, Andati is of the opinion that a big portion of the group is not sincere in its support for the DP, adding that a section of the politicians is most likely after his money and will dump him in the near future.

"Ruto ameshindwa kutengeneza marafiki wa kweli. Wengi wa hawa alio nao sio was kweli, wamefuata pesa (Ruto has been unable to make genuine friends, most of his current friends are only after his money)," said Andati, during the Bunge La Maisha show on Radio Maisha on Monday.

The political commentator further added that the DP might find himself isolated at the end of it all, especially in the instance that his bid fails to go through or the supply of money goes dry.

"Pesa zikiisha ama mambo yakiharibika huenda wakamtoroka (they are very likely to dump him if the money stops coming or if things fail to go according to the plan)," he added.

The DP currently enjoys support from a section of political leaders, some of whom have been won over from the opposition wing.
