Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Muthoni Wahome has dismissed reports that Presiden Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga have formed a new alliance.
Reacting to the reports published on the Daily Nation, Monday, Wahome insisted that nthing has changed since the 2013 general eelctions.
"First there is a National Super Alliance against UhuRuto. UhuRuto carries the day and NASA automatically becomes the official opposition. Uhuru crosses over, joins the official opposition and forms a high table leaving out Ruto and Kenyans who believed in the duo," said the Kandara MP.
"We haven’t crossed over and we haven’t changed our minds. We keep promises," she added.
Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto entered a political pact in 2013 and it is believed they agreed to support each other for two terms.
However since the handshake, there has been fears that the pact might not be honoured in 2022.
With only a few years remainin ahead of the 2022 polls, speculations have been high that Uhuru was waming up for the ODM leader.
The Jubilee party has also witnessed divisions with several camps coming up, one allied to DP Ruto and the other in support of the President.
