Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Kisumu All Stars on Saturday lost their 9th consecutive game, after going down 0-2 against AFC Leopards at the Moi stadium in Kisumu.
Vincent Oburu put Leopards ahead in the first half, before John Mark Makwata scored in the second half to put the result beyond All Stars under the tutelage of German-based Arthur Opiyo.
Initially, Makwata had lost a penalty.The Kisumu based side is now without a win or a draw in the last nine matches, with the bad run having started against the first-leg match against AFC Leopards on November 24, last year.
On that occasion, Ingwe walked away with a slim 1-0 win. All Stars then lost to Zoo Kericho (3-0), Sofapaka (2-1), Bandari (2-0) Gor Mahia (3-0), Kakamega Homeboyz (4-0), Tusker FC (2-0) and Posta Rangers (2-0) respectively.
In the last 9 matches, the Blue Eagles have conceded 21 goals and managed to score a paltry 1 goal.
The lone goal was scored during a 2-1 defeat against Sofapaka on December 12, 2019. The side remains rooted at position 16 on the KPL log with 8 points after 19 matches, three points ahead of 17th placed Chemelil Sugar.
Chemelil has a game in hand. In total, All Stars team has conceded 33 goals, and scored 7 in return this season.
The side is expected to face Kariobangi Sharks on February 01.
