Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru has hailed her husband Kamotho Waiganjo.
In an interview on KTN’s Pointblank show on Wednesday, Waiguru said Waiganjo is the best thing that ever happened to her in this life.
Waiguru further noted that she would marry him if she was given a chance to pick another man in this life.
She narrated how they met and their love blossomed before they tied the knot in a traditional wedding attended by high profile guests.
The two, met 10 years ago in a ferry in Likoni, Mombasa County, when they were heading to a conference on the Constitution before they fell in love with each other.
“My husband Kamotho Waiganjo is from heaven. We’ve been friends and partners for about 10 years, "she said.
Addressing how the marriage will affect her political career, considering that Kamotho is not from Kirinyaga, Waiguru said, "Whether I come from Kirinyaga county and he comes from Murang’a, politically speaking it is still one region".
President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga were among the guests who attended the wedding.
Other leaders who attended the wedding included; Siaya Senator James Orengo, Narok Senator Ledama Olekina, Public Service Chief Administrative Secretary Rachel Shebesh, Gender Commission member Priscilla Nyokabi and Nairobi politician Beatrice Elachi.
