There was drama on Sunday at a wedding in Nyakeiri, Marani in Kisii County after two men stormed a local church and disrupted their step-mother's wedding.
It is alleged that the two men Victor Moreru and Jared Oroo were opposing their father Collins Oyondi's decision to wed the woman Zipporah Bosibori who he married 2 years ago.
"Oyondi abandoned the two men's mother and married Bosibori. A wedding between Oyondi and his new wife was organized secretly without Oroo and Moreru's knowledge," said Brian Omae.
Omae said angered Oroo and Moreru stormed the church with blood and threatened to sprinkle on the woman.
"Members of the church pleaded with the two men not to sprinkle blood at the church but, instead use legal means to stop the wedding," he noted.
Area chief Benjamin Makori said the two men had bought blood from a local slaughterhouse.
"I am urging men who are married to more than one wife to ensure when planning for weddings they involve all the wives to curb unnecessary drama," he noted.
Makori noted that the wedding had to proceed after the two men were begged by a pastor who was presiding over the wedding.
