Former Makadara Member of Parliament Bermard Mutura has lashed out at Transport and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary James Macharia over poor performance.
Speaking on Saturday, the former Jubilee Party MP as well accused the CS of deliberately ignoring unnaceptable things happening in his docket, right under his nose.
He took issue with the latter's office for upholding tribalism and not promoting ethnic diversity, adding that his inability to condemn the fact makes him the most useless CS.
He stressed on the need for President Uhuru Kenyatta to reconstitute the docket leadership where the CS and his three Principal Secretaries are all from the same tribe.
"Kwanza Macharia ndiye ovyo kabisa. Pia, inakuwaje yeye na PS wake wote watatu ni wa kabila moja na haongei? (He is the most useless. Also, why is he silent yet all his three PSs are from the same tribe?" he wondered.
He was speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Saturday morning, where he noted that ethnic diversity in public offices must be upheld.
The former lawmaker who served between 2013 and 2017 proposed a situation that will see no person from the CSs community hold another top position in the same ministry.
"Ikuwe kwamba kama waziri ni wa kabila fulani kusiwe na watu wengine wa kabila hilo katika viti vikubwa (let it be that if the CS is from a specific community then no other person from the same group should hod a top seat)," he added.
