An angry man attacked and injured his landlady after he was locked outside on Saturday evening for failing to pay Sh700 rent.
The incident happened at Daraja Mbili area within Kisii town in Kisii County.
Henry Motoki accused the landlady, Peris Kwamboka for locking him outside even after he requested to pay the amount by Monday.
"I returned home from work only to find my house locked. Neighbors told me Kwamboka locked the house because I have not paid rent yet I had informed her that I will do so on Monday," he said.
Angered Motoki stormed Kwamboka's house and attacked her for frustrating him.
"I beat her up because she is harassing me to pay for a house that is poorly maintained. I am not going to pay her the money because I am already looking for another house to settle down in," he said.
