The long awaited Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results were finally released on Friday, December 21, by Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.
Juliet Otieno from Pangani Girls High School emerged the top among the over 600,000 students who sat for the exams.
341 students managed to score a mean grade of A, with boys performing better than their female counterparts.
Moi High School Kabarak topped in the Rift Valley region by producing the highest number of students in the top 100 students nationally and taking five out of the 10 slots in top ten students in Rift Valley.

5. Waweru Robertson Muriithi - 86.87, Nakuru Boys High School.
6. Malit Griffins Kiprono - 86.860, Kapsabet Boys High School.
7. Ian Kiplagat - 87.763, Kapsabet Boys High School.
8. Kiptanui Kiplongei Allan - 87.760, Kapsabet Boys High School.
9. Gathoni Wambui Jackline - 86.130, Moi High School Kabarak.
10. Muiruri Michael Gicheru - 86.110, Moi High School Kabarak.
The above ten slots were shared between the top three performing schools in the region; Moi High School Kabarak, Nakuru Boys High School, and Kapsabet Boys High School.
