Kenya National Soccer Team, Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama may leave his Tottenham Hotspur side in January 2019.
Reports indicate that the Kenyan midfielder is among four Tottenham Hotspur players who may be sold in January, alongside defenders Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and midfielder Mousa Dembele.
The 27-year-old midfielder joined Spurs in 2016, and has so far played 55 matches and scored 5 goals. He signed a five-year deal, meaning his current contract with Spurs ends in 2020.
His contribution in the first team has on most occasions been limited due to suffering from various injuries.
He initially played for Southampton FC between 2013 and 2016, a team he joined from Scottish giants Celtic.
The defensive midfielder was once in the books of Beerschot in Belgium, Helsingborgs IF in Sweden, Kenyan sides AFC Leopards and Nairobi City Stars and the JMJ Youth Academy.
English giants Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City have reportedly shown interest in signing Wanyama should he be on the ‘market’ in January.
Stadio Olimpico, the home of Italian side AS Roma has also been touted as a suitable destination for Wanyama.
In previous interviews, Wanyama, however, maintained that he is still contracted to Spurs and that he is keen to see out that deal.
