For various reasons, you might want to factory reset your Android phone.
The device may be affected by a virus, or it may just be slow in processing information.
For either reason, you should be keen when conducting this process to avoid being stranded.
Android version 5.0 and above have been manufactured with a security feature known as Device Protection Lock or Factory Reset Protection (FRP).
Before formatting your android device, you need to make sure that you can remember the google account synchronised on the phone and its password.
If you can’t remember the password, make sure you make a google password recovery.
Alternatively, you can desynchronise the google account on the device.
This is because, after factory resetting your Android device, you will be asked to log in with the google account that was previously signed in the phone.
If you can’t remember the account or its password, it might hatch even more problems for you.
You might be forced to contact the manufacturer of the phone for repair if you can’t remember the account completely.
Sometimes, you might need expensive tools such as the Miracle Box to flash your phone.
This is however different from the Android versions below 5.0 where you can log in with any Google account after factory-resetting the device.
