A section of religious leaders in Moi's bridge has condemned an incident where a body of an 11-year-old girl was found dumped at Moi's Bridge railway station Wednesday morning.
Led by their spokesperson Bishop Patrick Kimeli of Redemption House of Mission Ministry church they said the incident was uncalled for and those involved should be brought to book.
“As religious from Moi's Bridge we want to condemn the heinous act with the strongest terms possible, surely what did this 11-year-old girl do to deserve this,” said Bishop Kimeli.
They spoke to the press in Moi's Bridge town on Thursday where they called on the police to do thorough investigations on the same.
“We want to call upon the police to do justice on the deceased by conducting investigations for us to know why the girl was killed and the people behind it,” added the Redemption House of Mission Ministry Bishop.
They called on those with any information to come forward and help the police in the investigation so that those involved will be brought to book.
Bishop Kimeli further warned parents against sending their children to the market at late hours saying they are putting their lives in danger.
This comes after the body of an 11-year-old girl was on Wednesday morning found dumped at Moi's Bridge railway station in a bush.
Soy sub-county OCPD Fanuel Nasio who confirmed the incident said the girl was allegedly defiled, strangled then her body thrown in a bush.
