Speaking on Thursday at Ramoya Girls Secondary school in Tabaka ward, South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro said he has no plans to steal or mismanage public resources.

He reiterated that he is contented with the monthly salary and allowances entitled to him as an MP.

"I want to ask the people of South Mugirango who elected me to send him if I will steal public money or mismanage public resources. Public funds must be used appropriately and that is what I'm exactly doing," he said.

Mr Osoro, a first term MP, wondered why state officers should steal from members of the public despite huge allowances they get.

The vocal legislator reiterated that funds from the CDF kitty will be used to improve infrastructure across all schools, upgrade roads, pays school fees to students through bursaries.

"Residents are my employers and they gave me the chance to represent South Mugirango at the National Assembly. Misusing any cent will mean that I have under represented my employers," he stated.
