In an exclusive interview with a mainstream television station, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo revealed how NASA was forced to transport Supreme Court evidence using bodaboda youths decked out in Jubilee reflector jackets.
Due to the traffic jam and little time within which to submit evidence, the outspoken legislator advised that motorbikes be used to transport the heavy files to the Supreme Court.
She called for motorbikes and in no time men wearing Jubilee reflector jackets on motorbikes appeared to the consternation of many.
There were fears that the Jubilee guys would disappear with the crucial files.
"I just said,"You know what guys? We are getting motorbikes.'' So I called the motorbike and when I called the motorbikes, they came ten. The jockeys were all wearing Jubilee. It was so funny. They all had Jubilee reflector jackets. Of course, they were all Jubilee guys but we said how are we going to take these things with Jubilee guys and we said," Are they not going to disappear with these files?" Millie said.
The Suba North MP's revelation gives insight to the tensions and intrigues that characterised NASA's Supreme Court petition that led to the historic nullification of a presidential election.
Evidence for the petition was submitted minutes to the deadline.
