A Jubilee Member of Parliament has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to surrender all land allegedly grabbed by his father and Kenya's first President Jomo Kenyatta.
Kimilili lawmaker Didmus Barasa says the former head of state grabbed land which according to him should be given to Kenyans living as squatters.
"The president should not take advantage of his fight against corruption to disrespect other leaders especially those he does not like. It is not good. This Kenya belongs to all Kenyans," he said during an event in Kimilili on Wednesday.
"I support his initiative that involves conducting a lifestyle audit for leaders. I would like him to start with himself and his family. We want to see, after independence, all land that was grabbed by his father should be surrendered to Kenyans who are squatters."
The MP is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto and is one of the DP's point men in Western Kenya.
President Uhuru Kenyatta recently said the country may conduct a lifestyle audit that involves letting Kenyans know how wealthy their leaders are.
But the pronouncement elicited resistance from Ruto's political camp as his supporters said the move is aimed at painting a bad picture for the DP and spoil his chance of becoming president in 2022.
A recent Ipsos Synovate poll showed that Ruto is the most corrupt leader in Kenya.
