Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua has accused governor Charity Ngilu of allegedly hiring rowdy youths and residents to disrupt his meeting with journalists at Mwingi Africa Inland Church (AIC) on Sunday.
The Wiper senator alleged that Ngilu ordered the rowdy youth to stop his press meeting with journalists.
Wambua claimed that the governor is afraid of the dossier he has against her administration.
“It was clear that the governor ordered the rowdy youth to stop the press briefing and she should be investigated and action taken against her," Wambua said.
He addressed the press in Kitui on Tuesday.
Wambua said he will not keep quiet as things go the wrong way in Kitui.
The senator’s meeting with journalists was disrupted by rowdy youths who accused him of teaming up with Kitui MCAs to frustrate Ngilu’s government.
Wambua was expected to brief the media on the alleged graft in the county government.
The Wiper senator had earlier attended a church service which Ngilu was also attending.
Ngilu and Kitui MCAs are embroiled in a tussle over supplementary budget.
The county legislators have refused to approve the county's supplementary budget.
Ngilu has accused the MCAs of frustrating her government.
She claims that MCAs are angry after she declined their demands for luxury retreats.
