Political analyst Tom Nduko says that the DP's latest remarks and attacks on top state officials do not portray him as a man able to lead Kenyans, but an offensive leader.

In reference to Ruto's recent attacks on Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, accusing him of chest-thumping, he says that Ruto has failed to convince Kenyans that he is unique.

He went on to remind the Dp that the CS and other state officers he was referring to also have their supporters, whose votes he will need, and he, therefore, needs to shun reckless remarks.

"He is just talking like any other politician, he needs to stop issuing attacks, he needs the votes," he said on KBC English Service on Wednesday morning.

Nduko, also a security expert, noted that as things appear now, the DP might have it hard convincing the nation to elect him, as he is still busy engaging in immature politics.

According to Nduko, the DP should also be able to differentiate between what and what not to respond to.

"He wants to be president, he must be a mature politician and stop being careless with what he says. He should exercise some soberness from now to the end of the race," he added.

Matiang'i has also been under attacks from Ruto's allies since Friday, a number of whom are accusing him of disrespecting the DP.

This is after he claimed that he only receives orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta, which has seen some Ruto allies threaten to censure him.
