The student named Brian Ivan Omosaa said he had been sent away from school due to lack of fees, and tried contacting Passaris on Twitter, but did not get any response.

Omosaa said at the time, he had no one to pay school fees for him as his dad had passed on.

"Hello guys, my name is Brian Ivan Omosaa 2nd year student at Co-operative University, Nairobi, apparently I'm not in session just because of problem of fees, duely last year I lost my Dad who was paying me fee, I DM Hon Passaris, but never responded, so ask why not me?"the student tweeted.

In her response, Passaris condoled with the student, and set the record straight that Omosaa had not sent her a direct message on Twitter, since she does not follow him.

"My condolences. You could not have DM me as I don't follow you. Start with the truth. You are entitled to HELB have you applied? As for our NGAAF funds you would be entitled to support of Sh15,000 when and if funds permit. Our resources are limited. My PA @Muhinza will be in touch, "Passaris tweeted in response.
