Former Nation Media Group employee Monica Nyawira Kimani was on Friday September 21 found dead in her house in Luciane apartments on Kitale Lane, off Dennis Pritt Road in Nairobi.
Her killers tied her hands before cutting her throat. They then dumped her body in a bathtub and left the water running.
Monica had just arrived in the country from a business trip in South Sudan.
Different sources indicate that she had meet four men on the night she arrived at her home. The first visitor was a mzungu man who was her neighbour in her former estate.
Two men, who signed at the entrance as Owen and Joe then followed, flushing the mzungu out. Lastly, a priest dressed in a white kanzu came in to check on her.
However, the motive of her killers is still not known even as investigations go on. Monica was a former Technical University of Kenya student and studied diplomacy and international relations.
She lived a life on the first lane as seen in some of her photos.
