The Head of State is celebrating his 57th birthday, and netizens have 'invaded' his social media platforms wishing him a great day and prosperous future.

On his part, Babu Owino wished Uhuru to live for so many years that even when a person from the Ogiek community would be Head of State, he would still be around.

The Ogiek- the smallest community in Kenya- is made up of an indigenous people who live and take care of Mau and Mt. Elgon Forests.

"I would like to wish my belly ally and a bosom friend H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta a happy birthday. May you live long to see an Ogiek become the president of Kenya," the MP tweeted on Friday.

Owino's wish has been termed 'impossible' by some tweeps who argue Kenyan politics will always be dominated by the major communities.

Other politicians who have joined Kenyans in sending happy birthday messages to Uhuru include Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, NARC-Kenya leader Martha Karua among others.

"Happy birthday my brother, friend and Mr President @UhuruKenyatta. Be happy. Today is the day you were brought into this world to be a blessing and inspiration to the people around you! You are a wonderful person! May you be given more birthdays to fulfil all of your dreams," said Sonko.
