An elected MCA allied to opposition NASA in Kisii County has been attacked for allegedly endangering his constituents' lives.
The locals of Riana ward in Bonchari on Sunday claimed that area MCA Vincent Moisabi is sleeping on his job.
"Moisabi is a lazy leader we voted because he has failed to construct a footbridge joining Bokoma and Boiyeki. We are in fear that children and residents who consume alcohol may fall into the river while crossing," said Joshua Oroo.
Sylvanus Omwoyo condemned the Wiper party MCA saying he has been making cheap public relation in the ward without any tangible development.
"It is over a year since the MCA took over. He is only interested in earning a monthly salary but, to construct a small footbridge. We are giving him only one month to construct the bridge failure to which we will protest to evict him forcibly from office," said Mr. Omwoyo.
Mary Kemunto, an angry trader in Riana ward blamed the MCA for the shortage of customers.
"Riana market these days is receiving few customers because the footbridge is in a bad state. Most of them go to Suneka to buy from there. The MCA must wake up and construct the footbridge before unnecessary deaths occur," she noted.
