One of the undoubtable presidential aspirants in the upcoming race is Deputy President William Ruto who is determined to succeed his boss.

Considering the many challenges Ruto's presidential bid is facing, he will much depend on these politicians to rise to the presidency.

 1. Aisha Jumwa

The Malindi influential MP allegedly ditched her ODM party to join the self-proclaimed hustler in his presidential ambitions.

Aisha will play a major role in Ruto’s campaign in the coast region. This region is known as the stronghold for Ruto’s rivals and Jumwa will definitely be an asset in Ruto’s camp.

2. Boni Khalwale

The former Kakamega senator has recently been Ruto’s right-hand man in the Western region. Khalwale, before joining Ruto’s camp, was a member of FORD Kenya party which was among the parties forming the 'dead' NASA coalition.

Khalwale was a staunch supporter of Raila during his times in FORD Kenya.

3. Mohammed Ali

He is the MP for Nyali Constituency. Ali left ODM after failing to get the party's ticket in 2017 preliminaries.

The former investigative journalist is believed to be in good terms with Raila Odinga but his more appearances with DP Ruto should not be assumed.

Ali has also been quoted saying that he has no problem with Ruto becoming the next president.
