Swiss president Alain Berset is expected in the country on Sunday.
Berset will be in the country for a three-day state visit where he is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Top on the agenda will be the establishment of universal healthcare.
The leaders are also expected to hold talks on strengthening their already established Trade relations even as they identify other areas of cooperation.
Through his Twitter, Berset announced his visit in a Swahili post.
"Mimi rais wa Uswizi naja kutembea nchi ya Jamhuri ya #Kenya kuanzia siku ya jumapili hadi jumanne wiki ijayo Naja nikijua kuwa Kenya ina sifa ya kuwa nchi nzuri ilio na watu wakarimu sana. Natarajia kuwa na mazungumzo mazuri,"tweeted Berset.
The bilateral talks are aimed at strengthening trade, economic and political relations between Kenya and Switzerland with the establishment of universal healthcare part of the talks between the two head of states.
