Speaking on Tuesday, the MP said that the basis on which the union between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto was constructed has already broken.

He claimed that the two were brought together by their joint implication in the 2007 clashes at the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the collapse of the cases marks their end.

Amollo noted that this leaves the two and their factions of the party without an underlying factor, hence the apparently looming division and parting ways.

"The entire foundation of Jubilee was the ICC. The ICC is gone, now Jubilee has no underlying factor," he said.

However, Ruto and team who also seem aware of the pending collapse have been heaping the blame on opposition leader Raila Odinga over his truce with Uhuru last year.

They have been accusing him of wrecking the party with an intention of benefitting from its destruction, allegations Otiende rubbished, adding that Raila is an innocent suspect.

He said that the attacks on the former Prime Minister are solely being thrown because of his stand against the runaway corruption in the nation, which some Jubilee members have been accused of being part of.

"Hon. Raila Odinga has been attacking corruption; DP Ruto has been attacking Raila for attacking corruption," he added.

Raila has been very vocal about the latest Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal, while Ruto has been accusing him of politicising the issue.
