President Uhuru Kenyatta is a threat to democracy and development, a senior human rights activist has said.
Ndung'u Wainaina now wants the president to be impeached, arguing that Kandara MP Alice Wahome was right about him.
Last week, Mrs Wahome accused Uhuru of being a stumbling block to democratic gains made in the country, adding that he was keen to extend his term.
"I am sure Kenyans must be thinking that Mr Murathe is dreaming. No, I don’t think so. I don’t think Atwoli is talking from nowhere. I also do not think Beth Mugo, who is a close relative of Uhuru Kenyatta, is speaking from nowhere either,’’ Wahome said.
And Mr Wainaina has questioned the government's decision to continue taking lawyer Miguna Miguna to cycles despite having been cleared by the court to enter Kenya.
Miguna Miguna is still stranded in Germany after Lufthansa airline claimed that it had been warned against allowing him to travel.
"How Uhuru's regime has handled @MigunaMiguna's issue confirms Kandara MP @WahomeHon's declaration that Uhuru Kenyatta is the biggest existential threat threat to #Kenya's declining economy, democracy and freedom of expression. Uhuru should be impeached!" he said.
The government on Tuesday insisted that President Uhuru Kenyatta has authorised foreign affairs ministry to clear Miguna Miguna.
