A Tuesday night fire in Kangemi at around 9 pm razed down several houses.
The incident occurred at Kangemi's Sodom area with the Nairobi emergency crew responding to the scene promptly to deal with the incident.
It is not the first time a similar incident has been reported in the area.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday night, an eye witness said there had been similar fire outbreaks in the area raising concerns on the safety of those living in the low-income settlement area.
According to sources, the fire started at Kibagare slum near the flyover on the Loresho side.

The cause of the inferno is yet to be established. Residents reached out to various leaders in an effort to hasten efforts to put out the fire.
Sodom is densely populated, a factor believed to be contributing to the causation of the series of fire incidences reported in the recent past.
There were no casualties reported in the incident.
