There was drama on Monday evening after a middle aged man was forcibly evicted from his neighbour's bedroom while naked.
The incident happened at Nyankoba village in Nyamira County.
Area assistant chief Otuoma Manyura said the suspect Jared Ombongi has been engaging in illicit sex with his neighbor Steve Makori's wife.
"Ombongi's forty days reached because he has been sleeping with Makori's wife secretly. Makori laid a trap on them when he pretended he was going to Nyamira town to buy text books for his son who joined form one only to return back 30 minutes later," said Manyura.
Manyura argued that angered Makori raised alarm to attract other neighbors.
"Neighbours frogmarched the suspect from the bedroom naked with a condom put half on his penis," said the chief.
He said the suspect was given thorough canes before Nyumba Kumi officials rescued him.
"Makori's wife revealed that Ombongi has been her secret lover for the last 2 years. Villagers chased her from the village and warned her against stepping in the village," he added.
The chief noted that the suspect was taken to Manga police station because the public threatened to kill him.
